Great board for the price

Posted

Pros: Big, cheap

Cons: squares are too small

This board is big, heavy, and comparatively inexpensive.  I've had it for 1.5 years with no problems.  After applying mineral oil when I first got it (it comes pre oiled, but just in case), I've been maintaining with a 1:5 beeswax:mineral oil homemade "board butter".   It keeps my sharp knives sharp and looks great.  The only things I would like better: bigger squares (less glue, fewer points of failure), and feet.  I like boards with feet in case it sits in a pool of water for some reason.  Not that it ever happens because I'm careful.
