Hey everyone! I'm Nate, Grew up in Hawaii with it's wonderfully eclectic food culture and now find myself in beautiful Portland Maine. aside from the occasional day class at one of the little cooking schools back home or here in Maine I have no formal training. I jokingly say I went to the cooking school of "mom's hip" I just learned being in the kitchen with my mother, grandmother and grilling, smoking and Hawaiian imu cooking with my dad. I'm no professional just the occasional bit of fill in work at a friends restaurant the occasional bit of fill in cooking on a yacht or 2 when I'm not working as a mate of captain (my "real" job) this seems like a great community with a wealth of knowledgable people.
