Doing a supper for 180 pax.  Looking for about 8 -10 different canape ideas.  Limited in that can't serve hot dishes.  After a mix of sweet and savoury.

One of my favorite canapés is a slice of French bread (not toasted) smeared with herbed butter, topped with thinly sliced radish and garnished with finishing salt.

Crostini topped with wilted greens and shaved hard cheese.

Cucumbers topped with salmon mouse

Halved baby new potato topped with creme fraiche and finished with caviar.

Crostini with Mascarpone,roasted garlic, basil spread topped with sun dried tomato

Small corn tortilla cups filled with crema, black bean, tomato, jalepeno, sweet corn, cilantro.  Topped with cojita cheese and lime zest

Fresh sugar cookie with roasted garlic onion jam and goat cheese

Shrimp on a toothpick with cocktail sauce. Everyone loves that!

Crostini with white bean purée and fried sage leaf.

Deviled eggs... Another crowd please!

Shrimp on a toothpick is a classic, but it's technically not a canape.  I wonder if these terms canape and hors d'oeuvres have evolved and are now being used interchangeably.
