Bring it on....

My middle Grand is so overweight that his feet hurt if he is forced to walk the dog around the block.

Odd thing tho....

He was a perfectly normal toddler .... loved to run and jump and play (was a chatterbox as well) until he received the second set of "mandatory" vaccinations.

After that he sort of tuned out.

Sorry didn't mean to make him sound like he is worse off than he is.

A mild form of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome is what the many doctors came up with.

His speech was right on track and a few weeks after a "routine" vaccination cocktail he just suddenly quit talking and just HUMMED).

Then he turned 4 and one morning he started speaking again... in full sentences with age appropriate verbiage.

Kinda like the faucet was turned back on?

Flash forward 5 years....

Doing great in school (killing the math and science) ...the only sign of his syndrome is his trouble processing emotions (this kid will melt down at the drop of a hat for no apparent reason) and a fascination with a particular subject until he has mastered it.

There is a small problem with personal space as well (but seem to be growing out of this).

It breaks my heart to not be able to run up and hug him when he comes to visit.

We have to wait until he exhibits his "it is ok to touch me now" body language.

Otherwise he flinches and moves away.

I guess we were lucky that he came back from wherever he had gone to.
