Hi everyone  

I'm a cook in a residential care home for the elderly - I was very creative with my username, as you can probably tell! - and although I've been there a while I still feel a little bit like a fish out of water so I thought I'd connect with other cooks/chefs. Not sure if there are many Brits here but we all boil an egg the same way, right?

Charlotte welcome. You do a great work even though it may not be as glamorous as a five star kitchen. I have actually thought about working as a cook in a care home like you to serve the elderly. I am sure it can be very challenging and frustrating but I hope the rewards out weigh the frustrations. Glad you joined ChefTalk and let us know if you have any questions.
