Hi guys. I'm new here and I guess it must be my day to be obtuse! I'm not getting this "Threads" thing. Is that like the equivalent to an e-mail "string"?
Anyway, this looks like a really ineresting forum and I'm looking forward to talking to you all.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I had a lot of fun last night, browsing some of the other forums. Put my two cents worth in on some of the threads. But it's late now and time for bed.
I am a native of Scotland but I have lived in San Francisco for the last 19 years. (How lucky am I?) I work for a credit union but my all consuming passion is for food and cooking. (Although I do have other interests like photography, carpentry and reading mystery novels.)
So, that's me in a nutshell. Thanks again and I'll talk to you later.
