I'm looking for recommendations on a set of cooking knifes not too expensive, like 200$ to250$, around that range,

I am looking for as set of knives for my mother's kitchen like a Christrmas gift, something better then her old cheap knives she has. like a set of 4 or 6.

How many is she likely to use?

She will probably use a chefs knife, paring knife and bread knife, santoku, I was thinking like ,Cangshan, J.A Henkels, something like that.

Will you be doing the sharpening on those knives?

Tojiro DP for everything but the bread knife - get a 10 inch bread knife
