Immersion Blender for thicker items (hummus)?

896 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  fatcook
Hi all! I'm looking at options for an immersion blender that can handle thicker dips like hummus. We do up to 4 gallons at a time and have been having to do it in batches in a food processor. We have a decent immersion blender for soups and lighter duty use, but it can't even touch this stuff (tahini is a beast, you know!).
I know there are several options out there, but I would love to hear feedback on who has used anything specific for heavy duty dips like this (without burning it out!).
Thanks!

Not with US voltage. Maybe in the rest of the world with higher current levels.

Two immersion blenders being the same, one designed for the higher voltage used in other countries doesn't change anything.

However there are immersion blenders and there are IMMERSION BLENDERS- big enough that you could use to power your boat.
IME you cannot go wrong with Robot Coupe's line.
