My sisters getting married in June and has asked me to help plan the menu. She says I can choose anything but I must include both turckey and Indain samosas. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to create a menu arund these two very different foods? Please help!

Hi, KBC, and welcome.

I'm assuming that by 'turkey', she means roasted whole. Or can you prepare it any way you want?

My first thought, if that is the case, is to have stations; an American station and an Indian station, plus others, if you can.

How many guests is it for? Will you have any help? Have you catered in the past? That will all determine what is possible.

Welcome aboard KBC. Here's my suggestion, I'm not sure, but I believe that samosas have ground meat in them, so to be innovative,I would make turkey samosas. Something else, seeing as you have to serve both turkey and samosas, why not go with the whole Indian theme, you could serve tandoori turkey, make regular samosas, maybe make some pakoras. Just a thought
I catered my sister's wedding last July, we served roasted chicken with salads, so another little bit of advice, buy pre made potato salad, in fact if you can, try to get all of your salads from your deli, it will save you quite a bit of time. good luck with your planning.
