I made spaghetti al nero di sepia once, and I use olive oil, garlic, and white wine as the base.

- Put some olive oil

- Add garlic slices

- Heat it up until the garlic almost browned and you can small the aroma

- Put squid / cuttlefish pieces, fry

- Add white wine, reduce it

- Season with salt and pepper

- Put in the spaghetti

- Add the squid ink

- Garnish with parsley and cherry tomato

Oh, I used that black spaghetti as well :)

Tasted wonderful ! :)

Did you use pasta made that had squid ink already added to it during the manufacture?

No, I used normal pasta. I don't think it adds much to flavor. But I added the pasta to the sauce quite early so to absorb some of the sauce.

In the end everything was black so from a presentation perspective it passed :D.
