I took my oldest son out for sushi a couple of nights ago....
Toro was a hit
Tuna was great, the chef put alittle onion and spicy mayo and some sprouts
Eel and cucumber....love the rich sweet taste
Uni....was great tasted similar to foie
Funky Cal roll with crab, shrimp, avacado and cucumber
Fluke with a blowout pepper sauce
It is super to have a sushi restaurant within 1/4 mile of my home...the decor is great, very modern.
So sushi in west county St. Louis is alive and well.

Multiple thank yous to you Shroom. I've been looking for a decent sushi restaurant ever since I moved to Springfield. The only one in St. Louis that I ever heard good reviews about was Mr. Sushi, but I've still been somewhat leery of going for sushi at a place called Mr. Sushi. Even though I don't know you personally, I've read enough of your posts to trust your judgement. Please keep posting on St. Louis restaurants. I finally have a decent car and I can actually make the 1+ hour drive there.

OOOOPSSS this one is good because it's 1/4 mile from my house....
Great sushi is in the CWE called Sansui....monk fish liver is phenominal....
Hollar when you come into town we'll shop and eat.

Thanks. Will do that. I was going to go to Winter Pantry this past weekend, but I had to make a trip up to Chicago. I met up with Nicko and his wife who were great and took me out for lunch.
