Non-stick in oven

So, it's a vacation house for the weekend, limited cookware,I want to do some baking at 350. The legend says most nonstick pans should not be heated over450–500. So why couldn't you use a nonstick skillet in the oven for baking something?

As long as non-stick coating is not damaged (chipped or peeling) and the handle is not plastic, it should be oven safe. You cannot broil in a non stick pan unless it is a Scanpan or Caphalon as their max temperature is well over 600 degrees.
You probably can. But I'd be prepared for two things. Replacing the pan if it gets ruined and having an alternative for whatever you're baking in the event that gets ruined too. If there is a supermarket nearby, you might be able to pick up a cheap pan just for the weekend use.
I think the no broiling, no cooking above 400 or 450, all makes sense. But there's lots of things that the pan could be used for 350 I would think. No plastic handles or otherwise, obviously.
