Hello, I was looking for some advice. I have recently started a three year Patisserie apprenticeship in Germany but have decided it really isn't for me for various reasons. One being that I have to attend school twice a week and unfortunately we just don't do anything, I would say in an average 8 hour day we learn for maybe an hour and a half. I am now looking in to other options. I have looked at places like Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie (ENSP), Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland and Ashburtons Chefs Academy but I just don't have that kind of money to spend on training. I have wanted to become a Pastry Chef for several years now and just feel if I stay in my current apprenticeship I will not be making the most of my three years.

If anyone could offer some advice or if they know of any other training programmes I would be very grateful!

I am in my mid twenties and speak fluent English and B1 level German.

Thank you!
