Yesterday, hubby was guffawing - he was reading this site. It's funny enough for a lay person - but foodies seem to get a real charge out of perusing what used to pass as food.

I'm embarassed to say, I actually own a few of the books mentioned on the site - but they are in my "Antiques" section. Some of those 40's cookbook pamphlets are priceless...all the references to home cooks are female.
