Fellow Culinarians,

This past week we all lost a great chef. Not only was he a great chef, but to me he was a great human, chef, friend, and mentor. I have just returned from attending his funeral in France, and his memories, dedication, passion, and professionalism will live within me forever.

God Bless Your Soul Chef,

The last time I saw Chef Loiseau, was in New York at the Relais Gourmand tribute dinner. I was an invited guest chef to assist my Chef with whom I worked for 2+ years in Paris, Michel Rostang. Chef Loiseau was a guest chef, and was wonderful to visit with some Chefs whom I had met. My last few weeks in Paris, both Michel and I traveled all over France and one of the places I ate at was La Cote D'Or in Saulieu. It was the first time I had met him, and knew at that moment what a very special person he was. It is funny talking about him, it feels as if it was yesterday, when in reality it was about 13 years ago, since we first met If you had ever met him you would know what I mean.
