Was curious if anyone here is closing shop for a few days because of the incoming hurricane on the East Coast.

Do restaurants carry any kind of employment insurance if they are completely closed for periods of time? Or do the owners just have to find another way to make up for lost business?

Your insurance should include business interruption but that only covers loss of income when you have damages and have to do repairs/rebuilding because of the storm. If an owner decides to close for a few days that's on him. Actually it would save money because it makes no sense to pay employees when you won't get any customers.
