I wanted to start making macaroons but I've come across 2 different recipes, one that that is for a normal meringue mix, you just whisk egg whites and add sugar, and the other is the Italian meringue mix, using a sugar syrup. I just wondered which one is the right way, easiest or just taste better? I know baking is all about trial and error but I'm a student so money is tight and can't really afford to be baking 10 batches.
