Are us people who can only use electricity to cook destined to have warped pans??
I'm cooking on a Fisher-Paykel electric cook top and every pan I own is warped so there is hot and cool spots on the cooking surface because it does not contact the heating area evenly.
So, I went and bought myself what I thought was a high quality 6qt All-Clad frying pan of the Ltd 2 series, out of the box it sat flush on the glass cook top but after one use of making scrabbled eggs it now wobbles and is clearly warped.

- the heat was not all the way up. "it was eggs!"
- i didn't put it in the sink and cool it rapidly
